Roulette: Cashdrop Casino’s Bet Guide

Cashdrop Casinos Guide to Roulette

The aim of the game is to predict the outcome of a spin – ideally place money on that outcome (the number the ball lands in) and make money.

There are a variety of betting options available to online Roulette players and you can choose between backing an individual number (a 35/1 shot) to backing as much as almost half of the numbers in a single bet by placing a chip on ‘red’, ‘black’, ‘odd’ or ‘even’.  These are even-money shots.

Ultimately the game is so simple we would suggest you get the bulk of your Roulette education by playing the game yourself in Betway Casino’s ‘practice mode’.  There, in addition to the traditional Roulette wheel, you will see the table layout, which is where you place your chips/bets.

What’s more you can view ‘game stats’ which shows you where the ball has landed in previous spins.  This can be very helpful when making your next prediction.

What may not be so easy to grasp as a new player is some of the Roulette bet terminology, so here’s a simple guide:

Straight-up:

Also called a ‘single’ – this is where you place a bet on a single number.

Split:

This is where you bet across two adjacent numbers by placing a chip on the line separating them (numbers 20 and 23 for example)

Square:

Also called a corner, this is where you bet on four numbers by placing a chip on the point where all four numbers meet (numbers 4-5-7 & 8 for example)

Street:

This is a bet on a line of three numbers, simply done by placing your chip on the outside edge outside edge of the lowest number in the line (16-17-18 for example)

1-to-18 and 19-to-36:

Sometimes simply called ‘high or low’, these are bets placed on the first or last 18 numbers on the table layout.

Red or Black:

This is where you bet on the colour of the number the ball lands on.

Odd or Even:

This is where you bet on the ball landing on an odd or even number.

Dozen bets:

This is a bet placed on either the first, second or third dozen numbers on the table (1-12, 13-25, 25-36).

Column bets:

This is where you place a bet on all 12 numbers running from the top to the bottom of the table (you will find this bet option at the far right of the table layout).
