Snake in the grass is a pain in the ‘dam
The funniest story of the week comes from Holland where a woman tried to enter a casino with a giant snake in her bag.  The discovery was made by door staff who checked her baggage as she attempted to enter the venue and cash in a winning slot ticket.  After the police were called it was explained she was an artist who was taking her snake to a live performance and had stopped off at the casino as she was in need of some cash.

Amsterdam Centrum-Jordaan police, who eventually instructed her to immediately return home with her pet, later reported on Facebook:  “At the bag check a woman appeared to be carrying something very strange with her. She had a huge snake in her bag! Not really something to walk around in public with in the evening hours.”

It’s a Stateside Lotto frenzy
America is in a Lotto frenzy with two jackpots expected to surpass $2.2 billion this week.  The Mega Millions jackpot, next drawn on Tuesday is expected to reach $1.6 billion while Wednesday’s Powerball lotto prize is predicted to surpass $620 million.

Your chance of winning the Mega Millions jackpot is pretty dismal though, it has been calculated at 1-in-302.6 million.  The odds of you landing the Powerball jackpot are 1-in-292 million. The Mega Millions jackpot prize is set to go down in history as the biggest Lotto prize in history.  The previous record was $1.58 million on the Powerball game, it was shared by three players in January 2016.
